The purpose of this Quick-Start Guide is to support developing countries in implementing their NDCs. It is accompanied by a reference manual which provides more detail on the activities that countries can include in their implementation plans.
The principal aim of this webtool is to support practitioners in their work to develop, define and review their country’s INDCs. The questions and answers provided for both the technically driven and the politically driven processes are suggested approaches for defining and designing INDCs and, as such, include best practice examples.
The paper ‘Road to NAMAs: Global Stories of Successful Climate Actions’ highlights 10 exemplary policies and aims to inspire similar actions under the NAMA framework. A supplementary database provides individual stories from different countries and regions.
This policy brief aims to build a shared understanding of INDC conversion by taking a deeper look into what elements a ‘converted’ INDC might include, reflecting a comprehensive national plan to achieve the INDC target. Steps of the conversion process are discussed, such as considerations for the mobilisation of finance.
