The German Environment Ministry established the NDC Support Cluster in the framework of its International Climate Initiative (IKI) to support developing countries in a timely and comprehensive manner with the implementation of their nationally determined contributions (NDCs). The Cluster is made up of different organisations and pools together projects from partner countries around the world.

At the initiative of the German G20 Presidency, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development ( OECD ) conducted a study on the interplay of growth, investment and the low - carbon transition. On 23 May 2017, the OECD presented its report ‘ Investing in Climate, Investing in Growth’ at the Petersburg Climate Dialogue in Berlin.
The Climate & Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) has published a paper which examines the perquisites for the “successful integration of climate change (and specifically NDC) commitments into national development planning.” The paper is directed towards development policy-makers as well as their partners and formulates ten propositions that function as a ‘check-list’ to support integration.
